High tides & winds this week!

Friday and Saturday, December 1st-2nd, will experience relatively high astronomical tides together with high winds; let us know if you see tidal flooding!
Astronomical tides this week approach +9.0 feet. Combined with sustained winds of 25 mph or more, which are forecast to be southeasterly on Friday and shift to southwesterly by Sunday, there is a relatively high risk of tidal flooding along low-lying roads and around some shoreline homes. High winds can push a +9-foot tide up to +11 feet or more, which happened last year on December 27th.
Please help us document and better understand the effects of stormier winters on tidal flooding and erosion! If you observe flooding in the next few days, please take pictures and share them with us at: info@kwiaht.org ...
