While many have seen the news about our beloved Dr. Wilson, we wanted to share this post with the LIHD community.
It is with mixed emotions that we acknowledge Dr. Bob Wilson will be leaving the UW Medicine Lopez Island Clinic early next year.
While this is a big change, we want the community to know that UW Medicine and the Lopez Island Hospital District are committed to ensuring Dr. Wilson’s patients continue to receive the exceptional level of care they are accustomed to. We will be working closely together to ensure the community continues to enjoy access to quality health care, and that the UW Medicine Lopez Island Clinic team is supported throughout this transition.
UW has started the recruiting process and will provide updates about Dr. Wilson and continuity of care plans as more details become available. In the meantime, questions can be directed to Clinic Manager, Crystal Rovente.
Both UW Medicine and the LIHD are tremendously grateful to Dr. Wilson for the exceptional dedication, service, and leadership he has provided the Lopez Island community over the past 25 years.
While he will be dearly missed, we support Dr. Wilson's decision and wish him and his family health and happiness in his next endeavor.
