September marks the eighteenth year of a highly acclaimed Lopez tradition - The Home Tour.
Throughout the years, the Tour has invited our community and visitors to enjoy the unique homes on our island. Homeowners unselfishly shared their stories and their property with the public and by doing so helped raise significant funds to support Lopez Center for Community and the Arts.
Last year, due to the pandemic, the Tour went virtual and it was a smashing success. Word spread quickly that watching was pure entertainment and enjoyment. For the first time, the Home Tour was available on-demand and therefore was accessible to hundreds of our community members who had never had the opportunity to attend the one-day event.
The Tour will go virtual again for 2021. “Living Lopez†includes six exciting online “visits†created by our team of technical magicians headed by Karlena Pickering. The owners are artists and architects, visionaries and dreamers, adventurers and explorers. Their stories are inspiring and moving, representing the culture and values of the Lopez Island way of life.
The Home Tour will be online at www.lopezcenter.org from Thursday, September 23 to Sunday, September 26th. This year’s Tour is made possible by almost one hundred individual and business sponsors.
We hope you will join us for the tour!
