Jason Call Officially Files for Candidacy in WA-02
May 31, 2022
By Elect Jason Call For Congress
Progressive Democrat Jason Call has officially filed to run for the U.S. House in Washington's Second District.
He will face corporately-backed moderate Democratic incumbent Representative Rick Larsen, an independent, and seven Republicans in the
August 2, 2022 top-two primary.
Jason Call is the only candidate to reject contributions from corporate political action
committees and support a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, cancelling all student debt, and expanding the Supreme Court. With seven Republicans running in this deep blue district, the campaign expects that two Democrats will advance to the general election in November.
Since launching in December 2020, the Call campaign has now raised over $135,000, knocked on over 4,500 doors, and has had thousands more direct voter contacts. As the top challenger to Rep. Larsen, Jason Call recently earned the sole endorsement from the Progressive Caucus and Environment and Climate Caucus of the Washington
State Democratic Party.
