Lopez Island Ferry Souvenir
Mar 2, 2024
I recently came across this vintage (?)souvenir ferry boat. There is some lettering on the shield (see photos) that is a mystery to me. Can anyone interpret the lettering and shed some light on this piece?
Ruby,
Are you saying that's what the lettering means?

OMG, Rick...
That almost seems like exactly what it is!!
It can't be THAT easy.
I've been researching the HECK out of this, doing Google image searches, and even putting the pic in some forums.
What a head slapper if it turns out to be that- LoL

Howdy! To my eye, it appears to be a funny way to write Lopez backwards and upside down. 23d07
I see a small bell with the same symbol on eBay. Not much in the description.
Hey Dan,
The artwork appears to be that of the Haida people, an Indigenous group who have traditionally occupied Haida Gwaii, an archipelago just off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, for at least 12,500 years.

Still trying to figure out the letters/numbers.
