Luthier Ken Savage brings thirty years of woodworking experience and musicianship to his guitar making, combining great skill with an exceptional ear.
Savage Guitars Offers Four Models: They feature the best woods available, hand chosen and well seasoned. Each guitar top is voiced to maximize sustain and balance. Knowing the importance of playability, Ken customizes neck width and action to suit each customer. The hand-carved neck is fastened to the body with a dovetail joint. All guitars are finished with nitrocellulose lacquer.
All models include the following features:
Honduran mahogany or Indian rosewood back and sides
Sitka spruce top, seasoned a minimum of two years
Sitka spruce scalloped bracing
Ebony bridge and fingerboard
Maple, ebony, rosewood, or koa binding
Schaller tuners (chrome)
Rosewood headstock veneer with Savage inlay (MOP)
Rosette with blue or red accent
Bone nut and saddle
Tor-tis pickguard
Mitered purflings
Mahogany neck, with a width of 1 11/16" to 1 7/8"
