Latest April Pediatric Care Survey ResultsThe Lopez Community for Health Care (LCHC) latest Lopez Pediatric Care survey results are attached. It contains results from 84 families with 195 children on Lopez. The survey questions were prepared by LCHC with results tabulated online by Google SurveyMonkey. The survey was principally conducted online though now augmented by physically surveying parents, in this case, at our village market. Both survey formats will continue. The results show that the percentage of parents responding yes or maybe remained greater than 90% to the question of “Would you be interested in having your child(ren) see a pediatrician on Lopez Island?”. The “maybe” responses included both wanting to meet the pediatrician first and also those wanting more information. These results are more completely described on the last output page of the PDF file and have been sent to our Hospital District and also to Island Health who employs Dr. Evan Buxbaum, the pediatrician interested in coming to Lopez. A short powerpoint presentation of these results will also be presented at the Lopez Hospital District meeting Wednesday afternoon April 24th. BUT MORE RESPONSES ARE NEEDED!
