Lopez Island Ferry Souvenir

I recently came across this vintage (?)souvenir ferry boat. There is some lettering on the shield (see photos) that is a mystery to me. Can anyone interpret the lettering and shed some light on this piece?

The artwork could be considered a reflection (vertical) but I’m not sure that has anything to do with the lettering. What a head slapper if it turns out to be that- LoL

Howdy! To my eye, it appears to be a funny way to write Lopez backwards and upside down. 23d07

I see a small bell with the same symbol on eBay. Not much in the description.

Hey Dan,

The artwork appears to be that of the Haida people, an Indigenous group who have traditionally occupied Haida Gwaii, an archipelago just off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, for at least 12,500 years.

Still trying to figure out the letters/numbers.
