Lopez Island’s Center Road to Close During Planned OPALCO Outage

A section of Center Road will be closed overnight September 15 at 11:30pm to September 16 at 5:30am
SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. September 9, 2022 - San Juan County Public Works Department will be supporting OPALCO during a planned power outage by closing a section of Center Road on Lopez Island. The closure will occur north of the Dill Road intersection from Wednesday, September 15 at 11:30pm to Thursday, September 16 at 5:30am.
This closure coincides with the planned county-wide power outage scheduled for the same date and time. OPALCO crews will be transferring overhead lines to new poles at the corner north of the Dill/Center intersection and asks for the public’s cooperation and understanding while this critical work is completed.
The public is encouraged to find alternate routes during this overnight closure and to obey posted signage for their safety and the safety of work crews.
