Lopez Island Community Scholarship Foundation
Now Accepting Applications

The Lopez Island Community Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce that applications for 2026 graduates are now available on the LICSF website, www.licsf.org, in English and Spanish. The deadline for all application materials is April 27.
LICSF was created to provide scholarship opportunities for students who are residents of Lopez, Decatur, and Center Islands, no matter which school they attend, to help them attain their post-secondary educational and career goals. LICSF scholarships are available for both two- or four-year traditional academic institutions, and also for career and technical education/training.
Navigating to licsf.org will reveal the foundation’s new website, built by former Lopez resident Stephanie Cariker, who now resides in Oregon. Said Cariker, "Our family lived on Lopez for just 5 short years, but never have I ever felt so held by a community. Working with the Lopez Island Community Scholarship Foundation is just one of the ways I've been able to give back to a community that gave us so much, and it has been a complete honor."
LICSF is unique in supporting students to achieve success not only financially, but also by matching the student with an Advocate to offer an extra level of mentorship, no matter what educational path they choose. During Give Lopez, the upcoming online fundraiser which runs from April 13th to the 27th this year, Lopezians may easily donate to LICSF, and/or to many other organizations dedicated to our community. Visit givelopez.org/event/GiveLopez2026 to learn more and donate.
If you are a family member of a student graduating from Lopez, Decatur, and Center Island in June of 2026, LICSF invites you to visit www.licsf.org to see how LICSF might help your student in their life’s next chapter. If you are a community member interested in supporting LICSF’s work, or possibly becoming a Student Advocate yourself, please visit www.licsf.org, or email [email protected].
