Sounding the Alarm
Dec 6, 2024
By Sandy Bishop
The County is moving ahead with LSWDD's signature.
Sounding the Alarm
San Juan County has decided to sign an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) that was written without negotiating with LSWDD, and without LSWDD’s signature at the December 23 (yes, 2 days before Christmas) meeting. This is signing away control of the Lopez Dump. Please speak before the County Council this Monday at 9 a.m. following the instructions below. Ask them to extend the present ILA until both the County and LSWDD negotiate an agreement.
