Vote Yes to Renew the Land Bank
Oct 7, 2024
By Renew Our Landbank
Proposition 1, Renew the Land Bank REET (real estate excise tax) will be on this year's November ballot and will appear at the bottom of page 1.
A vote YES on your ballot will allow the county to continue to collect a 1% REET paid by the buyer on the purchase of property. These funds provide LB funding to pay for land acquisitions and property management.

A vote YES will also allow the county to continue to collect the .05% REET that supports affordable housing. Representatives of LCLT and Housing Lopez will be available to answer any questions.

If you would like to know more about how the LB works, priorities for conservation, and the link to the affordable housing REET, please check out the following sources of information, and join us at the Information Open House hosted by Renew Our Land Bank Committee - Wednesday, October 9th, 4:30-6:30pm, Grace Church. This will be very informal and will offer an opportunity to ask questions and get more detailed information. People are welcome to stay for a minute or stay longer. Pins and stickers available while supplies last. Representatives of the affordable housing groups will also be available to answer questions.
