Great WA ShakeOut Earthquake Drill: OCT 19th
Sep 18, 2023
Yo, San Juan County!
The Great WA ShakeOut (https://www.shakeout.org/washington/) earthquake drill is at 10:19am on Thursday, October 19th. Signing up AND participating is super easy and only takes a few moments. Please help spread the word.
Families, individuals, businesses, schools, non-profits... you name it, everyone should get on board. Sign up here: https://www.shakeout.org/register/index.php?start=washington
The drill is a great chance to:
-Practice drop, cover, hold-on
-Check your home or work space for obvious hazards
-Talk through meeting place plans with your family and co-workers
It isn't complicated, doesn't take much effort- and is a great small step towards helping the islands get ready for the quake we know will happen.
