Are any of you using Starlink for video chat (Zoom, for example)? I'm curious to know how the occasional few-seconds drop affects that. I'm on fiber and even with that I get frozen screens and lags occasionally.

A quick update after a couple weeks of real world experience with StarLink. First, the overall performance is as advertised and has not disappointed. I continue to see download speeds ranging between 100 - 200mbps, and uploads around 10 - 15mbps, and latency at around 30ms on average. So the next day Dishy had no obstructions and has had none since. I'm aimed dead on at the north sky at about a 40 deg angle up from horizontal.
My speeds vary but all between 90 to 160. Very happy to be on the path of getting rid of ctel

We put a down payment on STARLINK February 2021 and are on the list. We’ve yet to receive any equipment but the website says maybe this summer. I have an account setup and hope we’re included in this next round because our Rockisland speeds are below 5mbps, dismal.

Ive been getting an "obstruction message" on the site for 24 hrs now, it say Ob---- in about25 min and it doesn't seem to happen. I'm going to order the 150' cable from Starlinks store. I will have the proprietary ends on it. that will get me further out from my close trees. I have tall trees in my neighbors field about 500 ft aw ... Read All

I received my Starlink last week and the Starlink app has a speed test that's currently showing 125 Mbps download but only 10 Mbps upload.I'm still figuring out the best location and way to mount it to get the best Northern view with some trees.
