This Week: In this 7th (of maybe 9) Mozart hours in the first two months of the year, we play his music from the miraculous summer of 1788, when he composed his final three symphonies (No. 39, 40 and 41) and some great piano chamber music, all written in a 45-day period from June 26 to August 10, 1788. We’ll focus on playing most of his Symphonies No. 40 and 41, and samples of his piano music in the same short span of early summer.
