Roadside Divinities: New Work by Elizabeth Myhr + Art Talk/Exhibition
September 12, 2026
5:00 - 6:00pm
Lopez Library
This new exhibit is the result of twenty-four months working in plant-dyed textiles using island native wild plants, Lopez garden flowers, and natural, upcycled fabrics.
"Every piece in this exhibit is the result of a moment in time in the universe, a walking and a harvesting, a preparing and a placing, fire, rainwater, sun, shade, wind, iron, ash, ammonia - many, many causes and conditions, none of which I have any real control over. A branch of alder in April is not a branch of alder in August, though that single tree seems so much the same. All things endlessly change. The results of this art are always a surprise."
