Local artist and cat in search of new home

My name is Meredith Chase and I have lived on island for a little more than 3 years, and am currently seeking a studio/1 bedroom home for myself and my super cool cat named Sevi. He’s an indoor cat, but likes to go on walks outdoors, is incredibly charming and friendly with both people and pets. Hoping to find a new place ideally by September as our current home is being repurposed.
As for me, I am a middle aged glass artist who currently makes a living gardening, landscaping, and doing cleaning gigs around island…I love to cook and am very good with tools and most hands on work. I tend to pay my rent significantly early each month…and I’d say that I am friendly, but tend to keep to myself by and large. I don’t throw parties and I rarely have guests.
I would love to find a small cabin, house or apartment to settle into. Recently going through a divorce and just hoping to find a quiet place to call my own.
I am very open to rustic. Also open to possible work-trade scenarios. Just super eager to find a peaceful affordable spot to land for the foreseeable future.
