This year the Jones’s arrived early per usual beginning their construction in the usual location and finishing with with their customary feather flourish. Per usual they are incessant squabblers, if not with each other then anything else that comes around. They are the most entitled of visitors.







This year Roberto arrived though, building a nest of such beauty he thinks he can get anyone he wants to share it. He is a spectacular bird, with a radiant russet sheen that is truly spectacular. The symmetry and care that went into the nest was impressive. Some say he's after Bertha Jones, but I consider it rude to speculate.





And not to be outdone the Browns arrived and began construction of something of shall we say “rustic”, appearance, building extra foundation for an addition maybe?, or even worse…condos. They are never available long enough for a picture, I'm thinking probably some kind of checkered past. Imagine the horror in the neighborhood.

Hope you are happy with them, they seem to REALLY keep the mosquitos away down there that live around the pond. Those and the bats at night are a true blessing.

New happenings! After overloading their foundation the Jones experienced a structural failure on a portion of their nest.

The family has disappeared, in embarrassment I suppose.

They fly around our place looking for lodging and never seem satisfied...not to worry, we have a lovely robin condo in an ivy tree....with a perfect view of the blueberries, which they seem to hear ripening.

Thanks for letting us all see the shenanigans of the Jones and Browns.
Lets hope the Browns can keep up with the Jones
