Painting: Oil, Acrylics
As an interior designer by trade, I love color and textures. I enjoy form, function and architectural elements. The study of art and design brought me to painting where I have fun capturing moments in time, observations of objects and the pure joy of color. Oil paint gives me the time to edit and play while creating…and acrylics have been fun to work with. Nautical scenes and nautical objects are recurring favorite themes of mine.I am 1/4 Tsimshian native, a northwest coastal tribe from Alaska. My Tsimshian name is Ama di yaan… which means "Shows a Good Way". Gisbutwada is my clan… the Killer Whale Clan. I'm learning more about our northwest coast formline art and culture in my art journey.
