Accountability among Our Local Planners and Officials
Sep 5, 2022
San Juan County Council voted 3-0 to keep my property commercial(See Line 85), and guess what?
THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT NEVER GOT THE MEMO/DIRECTIVE!

Our local council member informed me that there was another meeting after the motion was carried in which the zoning was discussed and reversed.
I was informed that this meeting was public. After a lengthy Public Records Request, nothing was found. Our Lopez councilman is also the head of Public Records.
After meeting with him, I was advised to go down a two year appeal process, which ended with the Planning Commission never addressing the issue.
It was dismissed, the issue was never addressed!

Welcome to our Good Ol Boys and Girls Politics in our county. Ever wonder what goes on in those frequent private to the public Executive sessions?
