Check out the exciting line up of performers at MerryFest! This post is just about some of the Friday shows and a bit of Saturday, but there's also stuff happening Sunday.
FRIDAY
3:00 Camryn, Jesse, Helen and Dan bring their cosmic vibes and musicianship to soaring vocals that will remind me of Jeff Buckley, Pat Benatar and Bon Iver
4:00 Tacoma drag queen Bobbi Jo Blessings and local Derek Eisel amaze with songs of love, sex and good humor. A great opportunity to laugh, cry and clutch your pearls.
5:00 All We Have is Now acoustic set. Jesse Hammond's masterful musicianship and Theos raw vocals and commanding stage presence remind me of Courtney Love's band Hole. Do not miss this young rising star (in my humble opinion).
Other great acts follow but I don't know who.
SATURDAY: variety show starts around 3:00. Derek, Jesse, Dan, Helen, Camryn and LB will perform a short play written by Derek.
This festival is hosted for the second year by the wonderful Jacksun Gros.
