Are you interested in making a food product to sell?

A Taproot Kitchen User Survey.
Taproot is making plans to expand and improve our kitchen facilities. We are adding a cook room with a large commercial range and ovens like the one pictured above. This will create an abundance of opportunities for new food production and processing. In order to make the new area conducive to a wide variety of users, we are asking your opinion.
Taproot exists to provide the Island community with affordable access to a commercial kitchen and food processing facilities. People can produce their own value-added food products to sell in stores, food trucks, Farmers Market or catering. Part of Taproot’s mission is to facilitate small business start-ups with education, resources, information & advice.
If you answer yes to any of these questions then we'd like to hear from you.
• Are you interested in starting your own food related business on Lopez Island?
• Do you have a favorite recipe that could be a commercial success?
• Do you have a product idea that you would like someone else to manifest? This is called co-packing.
• Do you have experience with kitchen design or production that could inform our cook room choices?
Please take a moment to answer this survey and we will follow up with you.

We are working together as a community to improve Lopez Island and San Juan County’s food and economic security.
Let’s get cooking!
