Center Island residents Brian and Barbara Cantwell, writing under the pen name B.B. Cantwell, have published their third cozy murder mystery based in their former hometown of Portland, Oregon. "ICED, WITH SPRINKLES" is the newest in the Portland Bookmobile Mysteries series inspired by Barbara's service as librarian on the city's bookmobile in the 1990s. As Portlanders celebrate the Yuletide with boat parades and the bookmobile offers shoreside story hours, ho-ho-ho turns horrible when one of the boat skippers is found circling the drain. Follow mobile librarian Hester McGarrigle and her main squeeze, dishy Detective Nate Darrow of the Portland Police Bureau, as they check out the clues. Does it have anything to do with the bookmobile driver's beautifully iced Christmas cookies? (Remember, "iced" is another word for "murdered.") See the website for ordering links, and happy holidays! P.S. Our first two mysteries, "Murdermobile" and "Corpse of Discovery," are on sale at Lopez Bookshop, next to Holly B's Bakery.
