The concept of Grow A Row can mean intentionally planting extra veggies to donate to the fresh food bank, but at heart it simply means sharing a bit of your garden harvest.
Are you zucchinis starting to pop? Do you have a flush of green beans that need to be constantly harvested to keep them tender and productive? Did you get super excited at a plant sale and end up with 15 different tomato plant varieties that are starting to get ripe all at once?
Whatever you have an abundance of, please consider sharing your bounty with Lopez Fresh, our local fresh food bank! It is located under the stairs leading up to the LIFRC, right next to the entrance to the Children's Center at 160 Village Rd.
Lopez Fresh is open 24/7, just write down what you brought on our donation drop off list. Also, if you come during office hours there are produce bags in the LIFRC office if you would like to divide up and bag the produce.
Thank you for your generosity!
