Lopez Island Quaker Worship Group - Everyone Welcome

Lopez Island Friends Meeting (Quakers)
Sundays at 10 am
Sunnyfield Farm, 6363 Fisherman Bay Rd, Lopez Island
Children's Program. Everyone welcome.

Meeting for worship, which generally lasts about an hour, is an opportunity to settle thoughts, center, empty minds of day-to-day busyness and distractions and open our hearts to spirit. Quaker practice has roots in Christianity, but many Meeting attenders do not consider themselves Christians, and a universality of spirit is at the heart of our community.

Quakers enjoy a broad umbrella of beliefs, and we value this diversity. Our beliefs are defined -- not by words -- but by our shared experience of a spiritual presence within and among us, and the principle that "there is that of God" in everyone.

These practices and beliefs have led Quakers to a long-lasting tradition of living our faith through work in the world for peace and social justice for all people and living beings.

Please join us for worship any Sunday morning, 10 am, Sunnyfield Farm.
