Dahr Jamail: The End of Ice
(New Show)

Recorded March of 2019, at Summit on Pike, Seattle, WA., at Seattle Town Hall.

An American journalist, Dahr Jamail was born in 1968 in the state of Texas. We all know about his reporting during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Do we know what originally brought him to Iraq? Was it glaciers? Yes, his hobby of hiking glaciers brought him face to face with how quickly they are melting. He speaks about this during this show.

Jamail has received many awards for his journalism. Find more about his life and journalism at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahr_Jamail . His latest book is entitled The End of Ice: Bearing Witness and Finding Meaning in the Path of Climate Disruption. He also writes for Truthout about Climate Change.

During Dahr’s mountaineer adventures, he witnessed melting glacier and found the edge of our future in global warming. Here he presents what he has been witnessing and information from scientists.

We are feeling like we may be back on track with the change in political power. But, can we rest on our laurels for change? Are the biggest challenges ahead with Climate Change and many other topics I hope to cover in the New Year.
