If the per capita infection rate

- in San Juan Co is about 1-600
- in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, or King Co is about 1-100.

Then your risk factor from one mainlander is about the same as from 6 Lopezians.

So it is great for the mainlanders to say, "hey let's hang out" since their risk from you is about 1/6th as much as their neighbor, but your risk factor is 6X more than your neighbor

Another way to look at it is, you could hang out with 6 Lopezians or one mainlander and have the same risk factor.

I have had dozens of offers for dinners etc from mainlanders all of which I decline and always struggle to give reasons why and apologize while being thankful for the offer.

YMMV (your mileage may vary)
