Wednesday afternoon Dwight Lewis brought his excavator to the village and destroyed 5 of the signs memorializing BIPOC lives lost to police brutality and racism before he was stopped by Lopez community members and the local police.
This Sunday we will be making the signs anew and together will re-affirm our commitment to stay in the fight for racial equity and support the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sunday, 12-2pm in front of the skate park. Bring signs and clothes you don't mid getting paint on if you want to help with the memorials.
Note: Please do NOT park in the Blossom parking lot. It fills up fast and makes it hard for people to shop
