Fascists on S J I?

Were there really swastikas and confederate flags openly flown at Friday Harbor’s July 4 car parade?

OMG, you're right Eden - so sorry everyone, my misread, it says America not Antifa. It's a little obscure on the side of the car. I suppose I shouldn't find that mistake a little humorous, but...
The car says “we heart America” not “antifa.” My guess is if there were confederate flags and swasticas we would know about it.
I looked through the slide show, and noted that the parade was a non-official word of mouth parade of 25 vehicles. In the comments it was clear that some of the locals felt it was a "MAGA" event, though if you look closely you can see that one of the cars has "We (heart) antifa" written on the side.

I'm glad that he asked the question and also pleased to see the pictures. And even more happy to see no extremist political symbolism. A false rumor stopped in its tracks by both Ron and you.
It might help if you knew Ron, his background and his beliefs.
And the masks?

Oh come on Mike. This is like the saying “Did you beat your wife today?”. He was just trying to start trouble.
Well, Dan. Ron didn't make an assertion. He asked a question. Perfectly reasonable to verify or squash any rumors.
Also, I don't see anyone wearing masks in those pictures. Not a good idea.

Here is a link to a slide show of the San Juan Island 4th of July car parade. You can see that what Ronald Kessler is insinuating is not true. I think that he should give the people of San Juan an apology. . https://sanjuanislander.com/photos/event-photos/slideshow-2020-friday-harbor-4th-of-july-parade
SJI did not have a 4th of July parade this year. Sandy
