To the voters of Lopez Island,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to educate the island as to the economic possibilities Lopez could embrace should we recognize the words of our WA state constitution. Ports are mandated to be economic engines of the community. As an attorney my mandate was to present the legal truths to my clients and the choice of action was solely theirs. Change can be difficult but can be accomplished in a thoughtful manner. Thank you to all those who have openly supported a new vision of the Port, encompassing more than a safe airport and to those who have given their support anonymously. The island has real needs and the Port could be the catalyst for meeting those needs. Larry Bailey
