This morning while tending to my school board signs after the wind storm I noticed every single one of Chris Greacens campaign signs were missing. This is inappropriate behavior and it does not represent how I believe a campaign should be ran. We all have a right to run for public office and put out signs with the expectation we will not be vandalized. If you have Chris' signs please return them to Chris or leave them at my sheep shed on channel road and I will return them to him. If you know where my couple of missing signs are return them to. Thank you Don Burt

Thanks John for the info. The school board is a big commitment and to do it on a volunteer bases is commendable. Unfortunately, at the Port of Lopez it looks like we are going to increase the line item on the 2018 budget for commissioner pay so that the.... Read all

I would like to correct something that Chris has said in his posting below. He says "I'd like to also mention that School Board and Port Commissioner are non-paid positions." The correction is that the Port Commission is a paid.... Read all

Robert Sims --

You bring up some great points.

I originally did not plan to put out signs because they're plastic and ugly. Moreover they lead, in my opinion, to further polarization in politics. They shout out endorsements, but.... Read all

I don't know anything about the missing campaign signs, but here's my thoughts.

What is the purpose of saturating the landscape with advertising signs?

Besides being branded with a person's name, what useful information.... Read all

I'm glad Donny posted this. He just informed me on this. I am glad he called Chris. This is not helpful for anyone's campaign. It is nice to watch Don and Chris work together.
