Catherine Washburn Medical AssociationThe Catherine Washburn Medical Association was formed in 1971 in memory of Catherine Washburn, a Lopez resident who was known for her generous community support. The CWMA began by raising funds for the original clinic building, which was completed in 1974. It has continued to provide the financial support for several expansions and much needed state-of-the-art equipment. The CWMA owns & maintains the clinic building & the property it sits on and its ownership extends to the helipad and an adjoining lot. The CWMA also owns the majority of medical equipment and willingly purchases new equipment as needed. It truly is the backbone and the 'behind-the-scenes' partner for the clinic. Through generous donations and memberships in our organization, the CWMA is strong and will continue to support Lopez medical needs.
